*Like You* is adapted from the bestselling online novel *Finally Waiting for You* by renowned author Lan Bai Se. Produced by Golden Horse Award-winning director Peter Chan and producer Jojo Hui of the award-winning team behind *Soul Mate*, the film has sparked widespread discussion. Leading actors Takeshi Kaneshiro and Golden Horse Award-winning newcomer Zhou Dongyu collaborate for the first time to bring a cinematic love story to life!

The story follows Gu Shengnan (played by Zhou Dongyu), a "perennial second chef" at a high-end hotel restaurant — a quirky, heroic woman with a fish-snack personality. Clumsy and ditzy, she’s actually an exceptionally skilled chef. Just as her secret romance with the hotel general manager Cheng Ziqian (played by Yang YP Ning) remains uncertain, the hotel faces financial crisis and the threat of closure due to acquisition plans. Cheng Ziqian then breaks up with her, leaving Gu Shengnan caught in a double crisis of lost love and job.

Unexpectedly, Lu Jin (played by Takeshi Kaneshiro), the president of an international hotel conglomerate, enters the bidding war for the hotel. Sarcastic, arrogant, and extremely picky, he’s deeply disappointed after secretly inspecting the hotel — until he’s unexpectedly impressed by Shengnan’s on-the-spot culinary rescue.
