Affected by the northeast monsoon, the weather is cooler in the north and northeast. On the morning of the 24th, a cloud and rain zone from southern China moves eastward, bringing localized brief showers across the regions. In the afternoon, as the cloud and rain zone moves away, localized brief showers persist in the eastern half and mountainous areas of the western half, while other regions are mostly cloudy. By the 26th, a frontal system will pass, and the northeast monsoon will strengthen again, making the weather cooler in the north and northeast. Temperatures on the 27th will drop to around 19–21°C. The western half and northeastern regions may experience showers or thunderstorms, with a chance of locally heavier rainfall. On Friday, the eastern half and mountainous areas of the western half will have brief showers, while Saturday and Sunday will see less concern about rainfall, with only localized brief showers in the eastern, southeastern regions, and mountainous areas of the western half. Temperatures will also rebound somewhat.

A tropical depression has formed near the Philippines and could become the first typhoon of 2017 (to be named Muifa). Whether it develops into a typhoon is key on the 26th. It is not expected to significantly impact Taiwan, but on the 26th, affected by the southward movement of a frontal system, rainfall will be more noticeable. Be sure to carry rain gear when going out.
