Blue Bottle Coffee, which took the U.S. city of San Francisco by storm and is hailed as the “Apple of the coffee world,” officially entered Japan in 2015. In 2018, it revealed plans to potentially set up shop in the yet-to-open Fubon Nan Shan building, drawing enthusiastic attention and responses from fans in Taiwan.

Previously, Japan’s limited-edition canned cold brew coffee from Blue Bottle also sparked a huge buzz, with people scrambling to buy it in Japan and resellers cashing in during the buying craze.

Now, Fubon Department Store chairman Liao Zhenhan said in an interview that not only the world-renowned Blue Bottle Coffee is expected to open a branch, but also the much-loved American cheesecake chain The Cheesecake Factory may be introduced — negotiations are currently underway, sparking anticipation among the public.
