Another major shopping mall is coming to Xinyi District, Taipei. Jointly developed by Breeze Group, Mitsui & Co., and JR East Japan’s group company ATRE, the new Breeze ATRÉ microXinyi shopping mall. Frequent travelers to Japan will be familiar with ATRÉ, which can be found in many large station-connected complexes. The Breeze Xinyi complex will span approximately 16,000 pyeong (around 52,800 m²), with ATRÉ operating around 2,722 pyeong (about 8,966 m²). The mall is expected to house over 200 stores, of which ATRÉ will occupy about 50 counters and shops. The opening is planned for the third quarter of 2018, in autumn.

ATRÉ, a subsidiary of JR East Japan, has partnered with Mitsui & Co. to establish a joint venture called ATRÉ INTERNATIONAL (AICO). AICO then partnered with Breeze to set up Breeze ATRÉ Holding, with Breeze Group holding a 60% stake. Through this collaboration, the appeal and success of Japanese brands and management styles will be further leveraged. This marks ATRÉ’s first overseas project and flagship venture. For consumers who enjoy Japanese-style shopping and tourists frequenting Xinyi District, it will bring a brand-new retail experience.
