Walking through vast forests of red-hued bald cypresses feels like stepping into a movie scene—dreamy, romantic, and utterly enchanting. Yet this breathtaking view, typically reserved for autumn and winter, can actually be seen in the heat of summer. At Youjia Farm in Yilan City, two rows of towering bald cypress trees stand prominently, but the real eye-catcher is how these cypresses have already turned red. The fiery red leaves seem dyed by the scorching sun, complemented by the lotus-filled irrigation channels in the middle, creating an astonishingly beautiful sight.

This bald cypress secret spot, "Youjia Farm," is about a 5-minute drive from downtown and is private land that allows free visits and photography, attracting many tourists and photography enthusiasts. Due to typhoon impacts and the resulting foehn winds, the bald cypresses here have turned red as early as summer.
