Using carefully selected Canadian soybeans, which are ground in-house, all tofu puddings are made fresh daily. The syrupy slush used at Sao Douhua is made from Shen Te’s second-grade sugar, slow-roasted over low heat for half an hour and then simmered for another half hour. This process gives the sugar a fragrant aroma, a more appealing color, and a caramel-like taste. Even the peanuts are hand-picked, shelled, and cooked to perfection.

The menu’s strawberry tofu pudding features about 10 fresh, large strawberries from Dahua, paired not with traditional syrup but with a blend of sweetened condensed milk, fresh milk, and tapioca pearls—giving the classic tofu pudding a fresh new look. Its sweet and tangy flavor lingers delightfully on the palate. In addition to strawberry tofu pudding, the banana-red bean tofu pudding is another unique combination you won’t find elsewhere. The mildly sweet red beans, soft bananas, and silky tofu pudding create a rich texture that’s the perfect summer refreshment.
