Plan high-speed rail tickets early for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays

This year, the Mid-Autumn Festival (October 4) falls very close to the four-day National Day holiday (October 7–10). To help travelers plan their itineraries more flexibly, Taiwan High Speed Rail has specially scheduled a nine-day “Mid-Autumn & National Day Transport Service” from October 3 (Tuesday) to October 11 (Wednesday), during which 194 additional train services will be operated (95 southbound and 99 northbound), providing a total of 1,390 train services. The “University Student Discount” and “Early Bird Discount” will continue to be available. Starting from 12:00 AM on September 6 (Wednesday), passengers can purchase round-trip tickets for the entire “Mid-Autumn & National Day Transport Service” period in one go.

Taiwan High Speed Rail reminds passengers that there will be large crowds during ticket purchasing and travel for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays. Passengers are advised to book seats in advance and make use of over 10,000 convenience store partners nationwide, online ticketing systems, and the T Express mobile ticketing system to complete payment and pick up tickets in advance. This will save you valuable time queuing at stations to buy or collect tickets, allowing you to enter the station and board the train with ease.

Taiwan High Speed Rail has specially arranged 656 train services eligible for the “Early Bird Discount” for passengers traveling home for the Mid-Autumn Festival or going out during the National Day holiday. These services account for over 47% of the total train services during the “Mid-Autumn & National Day Transport Service” period. Passengers who purchase tickets 5 to 28 days before their travel date may enjoy an Early Bird discount of 65%, 80%, or 90%.

A variety of discounted travel packages, including high-speed rail vacation packages, hotel combo tickets, and transportation combo tickets, will also be available during the transport service period, making it convenient for passengers to plan their journeys flexibly. Welcome passengers to take advantage of the cool and comfortable early autumn season to “ride the high-speed rail, celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, and welcome the National Day.” Make use of this rare consecutive holiday period to plan a relaxing and great-value high-speed rail trip.
