The Hong Kong-based Tim Ho Wan, which has held a Michelin one-star rating for eight consecutive years, opened its first northern Taoyuan branch at TaiMall Shopping Center last year. Since its opening, the outlet has seen a constant stream of visitors. Now, eyeing the rapid development of southern Taoyuan and the potential of the Zhongli commercial dining market, Tim Ho Wan is opening another "star" location—its eighth outlet in Taiwan will be located at Da Jiang International Shopping Center, with a grand opening on September 15th. Covering an area of 114 ping (approx. 377 m²), Tim Ho Wan Zhongli Da Jiang offers 112 seats and serves over 30 dishes and desserts, including its signature "Four Heavenly Kings" dim sum—crispy BBQ pork buns, smooth Malay sponge cake, pan-fried radish cake, and pork liver sausage. On the opening day, three exclusive new autumn-inspired dishes were introduced, using seasonal nourishing ingredients from Taiwan: steamed glutinous rice rolls with mixed seafood and flying fish roe, steamed taro cake, and lotus root spare ribs soup. This allows residents of southern Taoyuan to enjoy Michelin-starred Hong Kong-style dim sum close to home.

With the Taoyuan Airport MRT having been in operation for over half a year, it now carries an average of 55,000 passengers per day, quickly connecting the greater Taipei-Taoyuan metropolitan area. In addition, the Green Line of the Taoyuan MRT is scheduled to begin construction early next year, linking Yingge and Bade districts and integrating with the Airport MRT and the underground Taoyuan Railway to form a comprehensive metro network. This is expected to further boost Taoyuan’s economic development. Capitalizing on Taoyuan’s rapid population growth and its high potential in the food and beverage market, Tim Ho Wan’s eighth outlet is located on the GB floor of Da Jiang International Shopping Center in southern Taoyuan. Since early September, following a renovation, the shopping center has been themed around home living, dessert and dining, and cultural creativity and entertainment, aiming to create Taiwan’s largest “underground lifestyle street mall” spanning over 7,000 ping. Tim Ho Wan occupies 114 ping and features 112 seats. The overall environment follows the brand's signature style, using wooden tones to emphasize a rustic and approachable brand spirit. The space features semi-open seating and kitchen areas, offering a high level of transparency so that diners can see the entire venue at a glance.
Tim Ho Wan Zhongli Da Jiang offers the same delicious dishes as all other outlets across Taiwan, with highlights including its signature "Four Heavenly Kings" dim sum: crispy BBQ pork buns, pork liver sausage, smooth Malay sponge cake, and pan-fried radish cake, among a total of over 30 dishes and desserts. As we enter mid-September, temperatures in Taiwan’s early autumn remain relatively high and the air is dry. Autumn is the ideal time for proper nourishment to regulate bodily functions, with a focus on "moisturizing and lung care" becoming a key theme in autumn diets.
Tim Ho Wan Zhongli Da Jiang is the first among all outlets to exclusively introduce three chef-recommended dishes that are both delicious and nourishing. The “Lotus Root Spare Ribs Soup” uses seasonal, highly moisturizing ingredients. Lotus root has a unique aroma and is rich in nutrients. When stewed, it becomes soft and sweet, complementing the tender spare ribs. The ingredients are simmered over low heat to concentrate their essence in the broth, resulting in a fragrant and richly flavored soup perfect for the transition into winter. Taro, which is high in nutritional value and dietary fiber, aids in stomach and spleen health while boosting immunity in autumn. The chef dices the taro and steams it to make the “Steamed Taro Cake,” which has a soft texture and retains the full feeling of eating taro, along with a rich aroma. It is then topped with shrimp-infused braised pork to enhance the fragrance, and garnished with chopped scallions for a layered, flavor-packed taste experience.
The “Three Fresh Flying Fish Roe Steamed Rice Rolls” incorporate local Taiwanese ingredients. The filling is rich, containing flying fish roe, pork, shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, green peas, and water chestnuts for a crunchy texture. The rolls are steamed with a glaze made from egg white and carrots, giving them a translucent appearance with visible, colorful fillings beneath the surface. The rolls are sweet, refreshing, and suitable for all ages.
