The “Night Parade,” held at 6:30 p.m. on the opening evening of September 23, invited the public to wear yukata (traditional Japanese bathrobes) and festival attire, holding bamboo fans as they followed a 5-meter-tall large lantern of the Fire King God—Yanwangye—and prayed to Guanzilin’s local deity, Huowangye. This year, the event specially invited the dance instruction team from Xitou Monster Village to design a simple and easy-to-learn Fire King God festival dance for Guanzilin. During the opening parade, they led tourists in dancing together, accompanied by performances including taiko drumming, fire dancing, and cosplay, allowing visitors to experience the festive atmosphere of the event’s opening ceremony.

For the “Hot Spring Yukata Culture,” in addition to offering hundreds of colorful yukata for free trial during weekend markets throughout the event, from October 7–10 and October 14–15, the Japanese rental service “Kyoto Kimono Rental Sakura,” which came from Japan to Taiwan, will provide more refined paid yukata rental services (including simple hairstyling and accessories). On the evening of October 7 at 7 p.m., a yukata party will also be held, featuring popular DJs from southern Taiwan, DJ COLA and MC CasterG GAGA, who will lead participants in dancing in yukata to amazing party music. The event will also offer limited free makeup and hairstyling services provided by Tainan’s local “Milan Fashion Hair Salon,” allowing hotel guests in Guanzilin to wear their hotel’s unique yukata and walk on stage, creating beautiful memories.
The “Hot Spring Cuisine” section specially selects 10 restaurants in Guanzilin to showcase their must-try signature dishes in the “Guanling Cuisine Portal” event. Visitors can obtain dining discounts via mobile QR codes to taste the high-quality and delicate mountain delicacies of Guanzilin.

This year, the original Guanzilin anime characters “Xiao Feng” and “Xiao Quan” were introduced as the tourism ambassadors for Guanzilin Hot Springs. They promote the hot spring food festival through “Anime Marketing,” guiding the public to explore Guanzilin. Additionally, a “Guanling 2D Grand Ceremony Cosplay Competition” is scheduled for 4 p.m. on October 7, welcoming all kinds of anime characters to participate in performances and competitions.
