With growing environmental awareness, a wave of green architecture has swept the globe, continuously expanding the impact of green living. A Kazakh architect, Aibek Almassov, has designed a structure that is the most intimate with nature and the most environmentally friendly — a transparent treehouse. Not only is the glass house hidden within the forest, but an entire giant tree as tall as four stories is placed inside the home, making it a highly futuristic architectural piece.

This building encases the giant tree in a transparent glass structure, allowing the tree to perform photosynthesis while also bringing fresh air into the interior. The architecture is connected by a spiral staircase: the first floor includes an entrance, kitchen, and bathroom; the second floor is the living area; the third floor is the bedroom; and the fourth floor is a sunroom where one can soak up sunlight, breathe in phytoncides, and observe the ecosystem at the top of the tree.
