Chiayi has become a new hotspot for tourism in recent years. In addition to its fun attractions, the city center is also home to many cafes worth visiting. “Old Courtyard 1951” is a garden café transformed from a traditional Minnan-style old house, retaining elements of Taiwan’s traditional houses and incorporating wooden beams, bricks, tiles, as well as floral greenery, resembling a secret garden hidden in the alleys, beloved by locals in Chiayi.

The café has a small courtyard outside with a variety of plants and vintage tables and chairs for decoration. Once inside, you can feel the warm tones that give off a cozy vibe.
