Floral seas and European-style landscapes draw crowds to welcome the 2017 Xinshe Floral Festival

Taiwan’s renowned floral destination, Zhongshe Sightseeing Flower Market, is a favorite spot for flower enthusiasts. As autumn and winter arrive, the stunning purple sage flowers and towering sunflowers are must-shoot subjects for many visitors.

With Taichung set to host the 2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition (trial operation in September 2018, official opening in November), the traffic planning, crowd control, and vehicle management for the 2017 Xinshe Floral Sea will be crucial arrangements and tests. Entering its 12th year, the Xinshe Floral Sea Festival continues to roll out various activities to attract flower-loving visitors for sightseeing, photography, and rural leisure experiences.

Transportation: From National Freeway 1 or 3, transfer to National Freeway 4 and exit at the Fengyuan interchange. After reaching Section 3, Fengshi Road, turn left toward Dongshi, then follow County Highway 129 to Xinshe. Follow the floral sea signs to the exhibition area.
Provincial Highway 3: From north of Miaoli heading south through Zhuolan and Dongshi, cross the Dajia River via the Dongfeng Bridge, turn left in front of the Tuniu Police Station, then follow County Highway 129 to Xinshe. Follow the floral sea signs to the exhibition area.
Taichung City Proper: From Dongshan Road in Beitun District, pass through Dakeng and Dongshan Amusement Park to Zhongxingling, then follow the floral sea signs to the exhibition area.
