Breathtaking 100-meter-high canyon cliffs! Spain’s King’s Pathway reopens

Spain’s famous dangerous hiking trail—King’s Pathway (El Caminito del Rey Path)—will reopen in April. Just how perilous is it? The height alone says it all.This pathway sits 100 meters above the cliffs (about 30 stories high), and visitors must carefully follow the marked route. According to the UK’s Daily Mail, tickets for the King’s Pathway will go on sale next week. As one of Spain’s most popular tourist attractions, visitors can enjoy the magnificent views of the Gualdalhorce Valley from high above during the hike.

Between 1999 and 2000, five people lost their lives here, leading to the trail’s closure around 2015. However, after an investment of 5.5 million euros in renovations, the pathway has become much sturdier. Due to this feature, the site now has an annual visitor limit of 300,000 people—about 1,000 per day.

The pathway will reopen on April 22, with tickets priced at 10 euros. Ticket sales begin on April 18.
