Hundreds of icebergs drift from the Arctic Sea to Canada’s “Iceberg Alley,” making it a viral hotspot

A small town in Newfoundland, Canada, has recently seen an influx of visitors eager to catch a glimpse of the icebergs. This area is famous for its icebergs and floating ice. As temperatures rise in spring each year, the icebergs begin to melt, creating a breathtaking natural spectacle.

According to the BBC website, during Easter week in mid-April, a large number of tourists began pouring into the southern shore near the town of Ferryland. Many of them were photographers hoping to capture the stunning beauty of the icebergs.This region has long been known as “Iceberg Alley,” mainly because it offers the chance to see numerous icebergs drifting from the Arctic Sea every winter.

Only a small portion of an iceberg is visible above the water; most of it remains submerged. For local tourism operators, the surge in visitors means increased revenue. According to reports, the area currently has several hundred icebergs of various sizes—slightly more than usual.
