Get behind the wheel of a "double B" for just 555 TWD – Taitung launches mountain-and-sea rural cycling tours

As schools across Taiwan begin their winter break and the Lunar New Year holiday approaches in less than a month, Taitung County Government has launched the “Double B Tour,” featuring five bus-and-bike routes that take travelers through the island’s mountain-and-sea rural landscapes — each route costs just 555 TWD per person.

Taitung County Government has introduced “Taiwan Riding Trail – Join the Ride,” an integrated plan featuring five bus-and-bike tour routes. In line with the city’s vision to be the “most sports-loving” and “most sports-friendly” destination, and to promote high-quality slow tourism, the five bus routes are categorized as follows: “Leisurely Mountain & Sea Tour of Taitung” focusing on scenic landscapes, “Classic Rural Longtian Tour” exploring ecological green tunnels, “Around-the-Town Cycle Tour of Guanshan” ideal for biking, “Rice Field Trails of Chishang” offering rice farming experiences, and “Blue Sea & Sky Chenggong Tour” highlighting the fishing port.

Taitung County Government noted that winter in Taitung is warm and pleasant, with vast seas and open skies — making it the perfect time to explore the region’s beautiful mountain-and-sea scenery. The event runs until February 28, 2013, and each route will depart with a minimum of 10 participants. The cost is just 555 TWD per person, and inquiries can be made via the Taitung County Government Tourism Division or Dalei Travel Agency’s Taitung branch.
