Jianhu Mountain World has created Asia’s first Viking pirate theme park, “Little Wei’s Pirate Village,” and has specially planned a Local Residents Week event from January 21 to January 31. As long as you are a resident of Yunlin County, Chiayi County, or Chiayi City, you can purchase a park ticket at the discounted price of 399 NTD by presenting your original ID card.

Jianhu Mountain World’s “Little Wei’s Pirate Village” will begin trial operations on January 21. The entire park is themed around the characters and story scenes of “Vicky the Viking,” creating a Viking pirate-themed amusement park. At least five new facilities are expected to debut before the Lunar New Year. In terms of rides, there’s the “Little Wei Lazy River” where visitors can experience an adventure reminiscent of Pi’s journey in Life of Pi, allowing kids to steer “hand-powered boats” to learn Little Wei’s brave and adventurous spirit of sailing. There’s also the dazzling and surreal “Mirror Maze.”

For experiences, aside from hearing the thrilling adventure stories of pirates in the “Maritime Story Museum,” you can also personally watch the “Stomp Dance Show” that pirates traditionally perform before setting sail — a dance that stomps the floor to create strong rhythmic sounds symbolizing warriors’ declarations before battle. It’s the only innovative Viking performance of its kind in Taiwan. At Nice Cinema’s Impact Theater, the currently hottest topic — “time travel” — is integrated into the Viking adventure story.
