For those afraid of heights, the scariest things aren’t roller coasters or free-fall rides, but cable cars and Ferris wheels that slowly ascend while offering stunning views. This December, the Sun Moon Lake Cable Car has introduced an all-new “Transparent Crystal Cabin” – just looking at it makes your legs go weak. It officially began operations today (the 29th), and its transparent body allows visitors to take in the panoramic views of Sun Moon Lake from high above with zero blind spots.

The Sun Moon Lake Cable Car stretches 1,877 meters in length, with a total of 86 cabins, including 22 green Transparent Crystal Cabins that accommodate only six passengers each. The highest tower pillar of the cable car stands at an altitude of 1,044 meters. Riding in the transparent cabin and gazing down through the unobstructed glass windows, you’ll see the spectacular, breathtaking lake view right beneath your feet – definitely not for those who fear heights.
