Fly to Osaka for under NT$2,000 – budget airline offers White Day special

Since this year’s Western Valentine’s Day coincided with the Lunar New Year holiday, many couples weren’t able to properly celebrate, so many have chosen to make it up on White Day. Taking advantage of this special occasion for lovers, Japanese low-cost carrier Peach Aviation is offering exceptionally low prices – a one-way flight from Taipei to Osaka for just under NT$2,000.

In fact, Peach Aviation also offered a round of promotions on February 14 this year, but this time the prices are even lower. The one-way fare from Taiwan (Taipei Taoyuan) to Osaka (Kansai) is NT$1,980, while flights within Japan from Osaka (Kansai) to Seoul (Incheon) in South Korea start at just JPY 2,980 (approximately NT$923).

This promotion runs from 11:00 PM on March 13, 2013, Taipei Time, to 10:59 PM on March 21, 2013. It’s worth noting that the promotional fares for Taipei (Taoyuan) to Osaka (Kansai) are valid for travel between May 8 and June 13, 2013. According to Peach Aviation’s official website, the weather during this period in Osaka is pleasant and ideal for travel or shopping.

White Day originated in Japan. On this day, men who received gifts from women on Valentine’s Day (February 14) traditionally give something in return to express their feelings. Receiving flight tickets on this special day seems like a clear declaration of affection.
