General Manager Handover Alert！Airline Offers “Free Stay in Singapore When Flying”

Mr. Teo Eng Keong, the new General Manager of Singapore Airlines Taiwan Branch, took office on April 15, and simultaneously, the airline has introduced an appealing offer: passengers flying in Singapore Airlines’ Suites Class or First Class can enjoy one night’s free accommodation at a selected premium hotel when transiting through Singapore.

At just 32 years old, Mr. Teo said he is no stranger to Taiwan, as many clients have previously spoken highly of the country’s beauty. He is very much looking forward to serving Taiwanese travelers and also expressed gratitude to the outgoing General Manager, Mr. Chan Kok Meng, who is being reassigned to Hong Kong, for laying a solid foundation for Singapore Airlines in Taiwan.

Currently, Singapore Airlines operates two daily passenger flights between Taipei and Singapore, using Singapore as a hub to connect to 62 destinations across 34 countries. From now until March 31, 2014, passengers traveling in Singapore Airlines’ A380 Suites Class or First Class (available on B777-200, B777-300, and B777-300ER aircraft) and transiting through Singapore can enjoy one night at a selected luxury hotel, premium car transfers between the airport and hotel, and a complimentary gourmet breakfast. Transit passengers need pay as little as SGD 59, and by adding the “Singapore Stopover Free & Easy” package, they can access great value accommodation, transport services, and free entry to 18 major attractions with a total value exceeding SGD 321.

Additionally, Singapore Airlines has stepped up its “Transit Privileges Promotion” in collaboration with Singapore Changi Airport, offering even more benefits in the first half of this year. During this period, passengers traveling on Singapore Airlines or SilkAir will receive a SGD 40 Changi Airport shopping voucher per ticket when transiting through Changi Airport – double the amount offered when the promotion began in October last year. Eligible passengers can use the vouchers at over 450 retail stores, dining outlets, and service facilities at Changi Airport, with each voucher valid for one use per store. After the enhanced promotion period ends, eligible passengers transiting through Singapore will still receive SGD 20 shopping vouchers until March 15, 2014.

Singapore Airlines will also introduce its latest First Class and Business Class products this year, featuring newly designed seats and cabin interiors, which will be gradually rolled out on the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft set to be delivered in the second half of the year. Furthermore, the airline plans to implement Panasonic Avionics’ latest generation eX3 in-flight entertainment and communication system on new aircraft entering service successively.
