Following the huge success of Tainan’s campaign where 23 hotels offered “Stay 2 Nights in Tainan, Second Night Free,” now you can save big when visiting Kaohsiung too. The Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau has partnered with around 70 tourism businesses including accommodations and shops to launch the “Stay One Night in Kaohsiung, Get Travel & Shopping Perks” promotion. Stay at renowned hotels such as Huayuan, Huawang, and Formosa Fun, and enjoy the second night for just NT$888. Come to Kaohsiung now to soak up the sunny vibes and rich local charm.

Coinciding with the pre-summer lull in May and June, to boost tourist traffic from May 1 to June 30, 2017 (106 year in Taiwan calendar), visitors to Kaohsiung who stay at one of the participating hotels or inns for one night can enjoy “Three Great Benefits: Stay, Play & Shop,” helping travelers save on accommodation, shopping, and sightseeing.

First Benefit: “Accommodation Discounts”

47 lodging businesses are offering discounted rates for double rooms. During non-peak and regular non-holiday periods (Sunday night through Thursday night), guests staying two consecutive nights at hotels such as Howard Plaza, Grand Hyatt Taipei, Ambassador, Howard Park, Formosa, Grand Hotel, and E-Da can enjoy the second night for NT$1,888. For those staying two nights at hotels such as Huayuan, Huawang, and Formosa Fun, the second night is only NT$888. Other deals include paying for the first night and receiving a free night voucher or complimentary upgrade to a quadruple room. The free night vouchers are valid until December 28, 2017. All the above discounts require an additional 10% service charge and must be booked in advance.

Second Benefit: “Free Attractions”

In conjunction with the accommodation package, famous attractions offer free entry for two people, such as the new Kaohsiung Flagship Cruise, Shoushan Zoo, Love River Gondola, and Solar-Powered Boat rides. Participating hotels will give guests a “Two-for-Free Attraction Voucher” upon check-in, allowing them to choose two out of four free activities.

Third Benefit: “Shopping Discounts”

The Tourism Bureau has teamed up with 17 local Kaohsiung businesses and shops, including Kaohsiung Bus, popular bakeries like Zhongwai Cake Shop, Morinaga, Dagou Cake Shop, and Viagio Golden Pineapple Castle, as well as multiple tourist factories like Ma Yushan and Zhenfang Salted Fish Roe. These partners are offering product and experience discounts to ensure visitors go home happy and with extra savings.
