A couple from Yilan decided to sign up for the “Hot Air Balloon Free Flight Sightseeing Tour” to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. Although they had originally booked a flight for the 25th, it was canceled due to weather conditions. But on their disappointing return trip, they received a call informing them that there might be a chance to take a flight as a standby passenger on the 26th, which finally allowed them to commemorate their 20th anniversary by taking a hot air balloon ride.

Poor weather initially prevented this Yilan couple from flying in the hot air balloon, but luck seemed to be on their side. On the evening of the 25th, while taking a train back home, they received a call from the airline saying that the passengers scheduled for the 26th flight had to reschedule due to personal reasons, and asking if they would like to take the vacant spot. The unexpected good news led them to immediately decide to seize this rare opportunity. They took an overnight train to Taitung and successfully boarded the hot air balloon free flight sightseeing tour at 5 a.m. on the 26th, enjoying the breathtaking views of the valley and fulfilling their wish to create a special memory for their 20th wedding anniversary.
