【Travel Fun Fact】Dare you take it? China’s trackless train!

Everyone has probably heard of or ridden driverless trains or maglev trains, but have you ever tried a trackless train?China’s version of a trackless train?

InHunanProvince’s Zhuzhou, a new electric-powered trackless train has recently been introduced, reportedly the world’s first of its kind, with a top speed of up to 74 km/h and a capacity to carry 300 passengers.

Currently, this trackless train is still in the testing phase, but if the experiments go well, it is expected to reduce the cost of building physical tracks and could replace current light rail systems. The train also follows pre-marked lines on the ground, so it definitely doesn’t just drive anywhere!
