  Foreign airlines are offering special deals targeting the Taiwanese market. Travelers planning their summer vacations can enjoy a 30% discount on domestic flights within Indonesia if they purchase a round-trip international ticket from Taipei to Indonesia and add three domestic Indonesian flight segments.   Since resuming flights on the Taipei-Jakarta route in May 2012, Garuda Indonesia has continued to expand both its domestic and international markets in Indonesia. In recent years, the airline has been actively driving its "Quantum Leap" development plan, which includes seven key strategies: maintaining its leading position in Indonesia’s domestic aviation industry, expanding its international route network, aggressively developing the Citilink low-cost carrier, modernizing its fleet, enhancing brand visibility, focusing on operational efficiency and cost control, and continuously investing in human capital. Additionally, four Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will be gradually added to the fleet starting this July, and will be deployed on long-haul routes between Jakarta and Europe as well as Oceania. The Boeing 777-300ER will feature unique services such as an "in-flight chef" and "in-flight connectivity." Passengers will be able to enjoy WiFi internet access and watch movies on their personal 23.5-inch touchscreens during the flight.

Joseph Tendean, General Manager for Taiwan at Garuda Indonesia, said: "Garuda Indonesia currently operates flights to 34 domestic destinations and 35 international destinations in Indonesia. The average age of our fleet is just 6 years, which is very young compared to many other airlines. We also plan to grow our fleet to 194 aircraft by 2015."

  When using the Indonesia Pass promotional package, passengers must ensure that they have purchased and ticketed an international Garuda Indonesia flight. The package is not valid for group or promotional tickets. International and domestic flight tickets must be used in sequence, with the international outbound leg and the first domestic Indonesian segment required to be used by March 31, 2014.
