【Paris. Life】A super long layover*3. Finally, I can smell Paris in the air!

Because I bought super cheap plane tickets
So the price of being cheap is a layover*3
06.16 13:20–16:00 Taipei–Bangkok (3hr 40min flight)
06.16 23:35–00:05 Bangkok–Abu Dhabi (6hr 30min flight)
06.17 02:10–07:35 Abu Dhabi–Paris (7hr 25min flight)

Originally there was a similar fare with just one layover
But then I thought, letting the little ones run around during the layovers might be nice too
Instead of being cooped up on the plane the whole time

The first flight to Bangkok happened to be during Luli’s nap time
So she fell fast asleep even before we took off～

The second leg from Bangkok to Abu Dhabi had a four-hour layover
So we let them burn off some energy in the playroom before taking them for dinner
Ah～～the friend from G who I ran into at Bangkok airport, Ah En Su Li～haha
She wanted to say goodbye but I was busy scolding little Luli
My super serious face must’ve scared her to death lol！

After dinner, I helped brush their teeth in the restroom
We hadn’t even taken off yet
And all three of us were already fast asleep

Slept all the way until we landed in Abu Dhabi before waking up
Oh！！This is also my first time flying such a long distance with the little ones
In the past when I went to Europe alone, it was all about me enjoying myself～since I could sleep or eat anytime I wanted
So as soon as I got on the plane I started binge-watching Korean dramas
But with little ones, if they fall asleep, you have to immediately go to sleep too
Otherwise, when you want to sleep later and they’re awake, it’ll be super embarrassing
And you’ll just be making life harder for yourself～～～

Luckily, just like Luli, I’m also pretty good at falling asleep instantly.

The last flight connection was in the middle of the night.
Taiwan was also in the early hours of the morning.

We headed straight for the play area again, and after burning off some energy,
we slept like logs on the plane too.
But about two hours before landing, both of them woke up.
The airplane food clearly didn’t appeal much to Luli.
Also, the travel agency that helped book the tickets didn’t manage to reserve a baby meal for Xiao Li.
So there wasn’t even a fruit puree option.

It was pouring rain and super windy when we landed.
Paris, here I come!!!!!!! Why is it that every time I come to you, Paris, it’s either a snowstorm or a downpour?
I’m really unlucky~~~

Oh—this time we’re sharing a rental house with friends.
We also arranged for an airport transfer to take us straight to our place.
Since it was still quite early, the cleaning staff were still tidying up the accommodation.
They did their cleaning, we did our resting~

We freshened up and headed out for food after one in the afternoon.

After the long journey, Luli was already exhausted.
Xiao Li was taking a nap, but Xiao Lu still had the energy to eat.
She was more interested in the onion soup.

The place we ate at was in a little alley behind Les Deux Magots café.
It’s a tiny place, but their confit de canard is super famous.

Yep！It’s the best confit de canard I’ve ever had～
But I forgot to take a photo of the shop front. I’ll come back and snap one next time I pass by.

This time we brought the Maclaren Techno XT.
Just in case both of them wanted to sit in it.

So we pushed No. 25 out onto the streets of Paris.
Whoa!! Haha~~~ So stylish, right!?!!!!!?

Sigh!! It wasn’t like I intentionally dressed them like that to go out~~~
Because when we left the house, they were wearing down jackets.
The cold wind blows and it’s downright uncomfortable.
But by noon, it’s so hot it’s almost maddening.

The two of us had to strip down to our underwear.
Also... I only brought two pairs of pants for Xiaolu.
Huh???? What on earth did I pack in this suitcase??????

Summer at Les Deux Magots—In a couple of days, I’m coming here to pretend to be all artsy too (pushes up glasses).
I’ve been to Paris twice. The first time I went in for a cup of hot chocolate. The second time I didn’t even pass by here.
Finally, it’s summer in Paris. I’m definitely sitting at the front and pretending to be cool.

A friend said everyone there brings a book, orders a coffee, and just sits.
Awesome!!! I’ll bring nb, order a coffee, and sit (probably get looked down on though).

Just—being all tomboy-ish.
This kind of dessert really doesn’t appeal to me at all.
But I have zero resistance to Luli........

So we went in and bought two macarons.
Oh～ The shop assistant was super nice to Xiaoli.
She even gave her an extra one. After we left the shop, I couldn’t stop complaining.
Should’ve just bought one. Haha, I’m so greedy, aren’t I?

Fine!!!!!!! Let’s go for a Paris 31-day macaron eating spree.

By this time, it was already 7:30 PM in Paris.
It was still super bright. It stayed bright even when we were about to sleep.
Yay!! I love that the sky never gets dark～ Can stay out for ages.

Xiaoli’s dinner was something I threw together with some veggies I bought from the supermarket.
I brought a 1kg bag of rice from Taiwan, so I can occasionally make some rice for Xiaoli.
Actually, they both seem to prefer things like pasta more～
That’s fine too. Saves me the trouble of figuring out what to cook.

At around 8:30 PM Paris time, I got them both to bed.
Hope Xiaoli has no jet lag like me, so we can have more fun.
