The highly anticipated Kaohsiung leg of the Yellow Rubber Duck exhibition hasn’t started yet,The official website for the Yellow Rubber Duck’s first Taiwanese stop at Kaohsiung’s Glory Pierwent live today (8/16). In addition to basic background information about the Yellow Rubber Duck exhibition, it also provides transportation details for the event. The Kaohsiung City Government has also set up a dedicated section on the website featuring packaged sightseeing travel itineraries to complement the duck exhibition. Both domestic and international visitors can now start planning their duck-viewing trips during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Double Ten Day, and other upcoming holiday periods.

The newly launched official website for the Yellow Rubber Duck’s first exhibition offers content including an introduction to the exhibition, the latest news, transportation information, sightseeing tours, merchandise, and event details. The public can learn about the Yellow Rubber Duck’s original spirit of spreading love and peace, get to know the original creator, Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, explore the duck’s global journey through various cities in recent years, and understand the hard work the city government put into bringing the duck exhibition to Kaohsiung.

The Kaohsiung City Government’s Information Bureau stated that the Yellow Rubber Duck embodies the spirit of love and peace and has already traveled to 10 countries around the world. Since April this year, the city government team has been actively contacting Hofman in hopes of bringing the duck to Kaohsiung. After fierce competition with Keelung and Taichung, Kaohsiung was ultimately selected, and the duck will be exhibited at Glory Pier starting September 19.
