Milk hot pot with its rich, smooth, and fragrant broth has long been popular among female foodies, but the signature "Cheese Milk Hot Pot" at "Jiting" hot pot restaurant on Taichung Yizhong Street is highly recommended online and loved by many teenagers. One customer even said, "If you haven't tried the cheese milk hot pot at Jiting, you haven't really been to Jiting!"

The unassuming storefront features a sign with a clean-cut, smiling man—reportedly a portrait of the owner. Even on weekdays, there’s often a long line, and customers must take a number and wait.

Here comes the signature cheese milk hot pot: the chef generously sprinkles a large amount of cheese into the milk-based broth. The rich cheese and aromatic milk spread in your mouth, and as time passes and the temperature rises, the cheese that was once threatening to overflow gradually melts. It doesn’t feel greasy at all—in fact, it makes the broth even more flavorful and smooth.

Aside from the deliciously thick broth, the hot pot is piled high with ingredients—so much so that it’s almost overwhelming just to look at it. Male student Chen said, "I come here often because it’s cheap and the portions are huge, perfect for broke students like us!" Another customer, Mr. Zhao, added with a laugh, "I think I have a pretty big appetite, but sometimes I can’t even finish a whole pot by myself."

In addition to hot pot, the shop also sells drinks. The owner originally opened just one store on Yizhong Street, with an exterior no different from a typical bubble tea shop. But thanks to its affordability and great taste, it quickly attracted many customers, leading the owner to open several branches around Taichung. Now, there are three branches on Yizhong Street alone.
