To create a convenient and friendly riding environment, Taiwan Railways has launched the "Courtesy Riding Campaign" starting September 11, hoping that all members of the public will follow riding courtesy together.

In recent years, the volume of passengers carried by Taiwan Railways has increased significantly, especially during commuting hours in urban areas and peak times on holidays, where the number of people continues to grow. To ensure smooth boarding and alighting when trains arrive at stations, Taiwan Railways has focused on the principles of "yielding to vulnerable groups, alighting before boarding, and jointly maintaining riding order". Through onboard announcements, LED light prompts, station notices, and guidance from on-site service personnel, it is intensively promoting these practices, hoping to jointly create a high-quality riding environment.

Additionally, considering the current diversity of train types and varying door positions, Taiwan Railways will initially mark queue lines on the platforms where "local trains" stop at eight stations — Douliu, Chiayi, Xinying, Tainan, Gangshan, Xinzuoying, Kaohsiung, and Pingtung — to help passengers develop the habit of queuing. In the future, the effectiveness of the trial will be evaluated, and the practice will be gradually extended to other stations.
