The Typhoon Usagi land warning has been lifted. Taiwan Railways announced that starting at 6:00 AM today (22nd), the North-Link Line and Hualien-Taitung Line have resumed operations. The North-Link Line will also operate additional trains to transport passengers during the last day of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. Due to greater impact from the typhoon, the South-Link Line remains suspended between Kaohsiung and Taitung. Services will resume as soon as weather conditions stabilize and safety is confirmed.

Affected by the typhoon, a total of 215 train services on the Taiwan Railways North-Link Line, South-Link Line, and Hualien-Taitung Line were suspended on the 21st, disrupting the travel plans of approximately 70,000 passengers. All regular scheduled trains on the North-Link Line, South-Link Line, Hualien-Taitung Line, Yilan Line, and Pingxi Line were also suspended for the entire day. Many people hoping to head north a day early before the end of the holiday arrived at the train stations only to find no available services and had no choice but to take local trains reluctantly.

Taiwan Railways stated that train services on the North-Link Line, South-Link Line, and Hualien-Taitung Line will resume on the 22nd. The North-Link Line, which has the highest volume of northbound travelers, will operate additional trains for transportation.
