Asia’s Largest “Vegetable Science Museum”! 800-Ping Smart Farm Offers Free Admission for 30 Days with Advance Booking

With food safety issues emerging one after another, compounded by factors such as urban development, climate change, genetic modification, and pollution, the global agricultural industry is advancing technologically to produce crops that are safe to eat. Indoor vertical farming techniques are being actively developed not only to increase yield per unit area but also to grow vegetables that are free from contaminants and entirely safe.

Yuexian Agriculture has partnered with Professor Tsai Tung-Tsuan from National Chung Hsing University, known as the “Plant Doctor,” using modern biotechnology and data statistical analysis to establish a comprehensive database of growth parameters for fruits and vegetables. This has successfully enabled mass production in smart farms, and even allows for customized vegetable production through various parameter combinations.

Located in Luzhu, Taoyuan, Yuexian Smart Farm covers an area of approximately 800 pings and features the world’s largest 14-layer vertical cultivation space. Its yield per unit area exceeds that of conventional agriculture by over 100 times, with a daily production of 1.6 metric tons. The farm produces more than 30 types of vegetables on a commercial scale, and over 100 varieties are in the experimental phase. Through data collection, it functions not just as a farm but more like a vegetable science museum.

Speaking about “smart” agriculture, Chairman Cai Wen-Ching of Yuexian emphasized: “Smart farming means respecting the nature of fruits and vegetables. We use technology to guide, not to transform them. Yuexian Smart Farm has accumulated eight years of big data, recording how to help fruits and vegetables achieve their optimal growth performance.” Yuexian adopts cultivation methods that respect plant physiology, designs environments suitable for comfortable crop growth, and incorporates intelligent planting management systems. These include high-efficiency smart lighting, airflow systems, temperature and humidity controls, plant protection, automation, and microbial liquid fertilizer irrigation. These resources provide a growth environment unaffected by external weather conditions, producing healthy, pure, delicious vegetables that are free from pesticides.

Yuexian Smart Farm officially opened on the 16th. This “vegetable science museum” is a perfect new choice for family leisure trips or school field trips, suitable for all ages. In addition to witnessing the spectacular 14-layer high-tech agricultural environment up close and being amazed, visitors can also dine at iPALEO, which uses star-grade ingredients. During the trial operation period from January 10, 2018 (Wednesday) to February 11, 2018 (Sunday), free admission is offered for those who make advance reservations. This gives everyone the chance to experience the intelligent growing environment of Yuexian’s fresh and tender vegetables and to savor the taste that comes from freshness.
