Apart from Japan, which remains a perennial favorite, Thailand is the top overseas travel destination for Taiwanese travelers. According to a survey by travel website TripAdvisor, five of the 25 most popular tourist attractions in Asia in 2017 were located in Thailand. The bustling vibrancy of Bangkok, the exclusive island romance of Koh Samui, and the untamed jungle charm of Chiang Mai — there's no end to the fun here.

In the ranking of Asia’s 25 most popular attractions, popular Thai cities such as Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Tao (Turtle Island), and Chiang Mai all made the list. Among them, Phuket ranked 3rd, Koh Samui and Turtle Island ranked 7th and 15th respectively, while the ever-popular Thai capital Bangkok came in at 8th, and Chiang Mai at 12th.
