Hey, you’ve heard of habits, but“Habit Vending Shop”? Recently, as Taipei Metro celebrates nearly 21 years since its launch, it has unveiled a limited-time 21-day “Habit Vending Shop” at Zhongshan Station. Designed with a fairy-tale theme, the shop offers a variety of creative cultural and creative items such as stress-relief cup mats, loneliness tattoo stickers, mini movie quote books, and latecomer paper watches—all given away for free. By replacing traditional promotions with creativity, it has successfully captured the attention of young commuters.
According to statistics, the average passenger spends 28 minutes on the metro each day, adding up to 170 hours per year. Taipei MRT says the “Habit Vending Shop” is a specially planned initiative that combines psychology theory—“Just repeat something for 21 days, and you can form a new habit”—hoping to encourage passengers to make good use of their commute time to build positive habits and enrich their daily journeys.

▲To address the common concern of “I’m gaining weight endlessly,” a sporty handkerchief designed to help cultivate the good habit of sweating was launched—it’s quite amusing.
Whether it’s the sporty handkerchief to foster an exercise habit, a memo-style paper watch to encourage punctuality, a literary mini-book to promote reading, a unique tattoo sticker for enjoying solitude, a stress ball cup mat to help improve your mood, or a dream mini calendar to encourage saving—six different creative souvenirs are available. Just share the event video on Facebook and you can visit the in-store “Habit Vending Machine” to pick your favorite habit and take it home.
Reminder: The 21-day “Habit Vending Shop” runs until June 2nd. Items are given out on weekday afternoons at 1 PM and on weekends at 11 AM and 3 PM. For more details, check the event webpage (www.21goodhabit.com.tw).
