To celebrate the spooky season, hotels nationwide are rolling out ghostly-themed dishes and activities. Taipei W Hotel The Taipei W Hotel in Xinyi District is hosting a Halloween-themed party called “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Guests are encouraged to dress up in bold, outrageous costumes and head to the hotel’s poolside area and Woobar. With internationally renowned DJ Parvenu spinning psychedelic EDM tracks, partygoers can embody the avant-garde characters from the cult classic and immerse themselves in its wildly absurd storyline, all while soaking in the retro American black humor of the 1970s.

The grasshoppers are blended into a handcrafted ribeye beef patty made from top-quality U.S. beef, grilled to perfection using the chef’s signature charcoal method to enhance its natural flavor. It’s served with cinnamon-roasted pumpkin and ant-covered hash browns, topped with a slice of rich cheese before going into the oven.

The bubbling heat melts the cheese into gooey strands that coat the patty evenly. Served on a charcoal-black bread with a refreshing aroma, each bite delivers a delightful contrast of tender juiciness and crispy sweetness—an unexpectedly exquisite taste. To amplify the eerie Halloween vibe, fresh shrimp is blended into a paste, deep-fried into shrimp balls transformed into creepy black widow spiders, while corn tortillas become frightening witch fingers.

Pizza House has teamed up with Taiwan’s original creative image brand “Cubbish Zoo” for a joint Halloween bash. “Cubbish” means whimsical, and this year’s theme, “Animals Celebrate Halloween,” invites guests to share the joy and unleash their imagination through festive costumes. From October 18 to 30, the first three diners at Pizza House during lunch and dinner who take a photo and post it on Facebook with the hashtag “10/31 Pizza House x Cubbish Zoo – Animals Celebrate Halloween” will receive a special Cubbish gift.

On Halloween night, October 31, there will be an exciting “Animals Celebrate Halloween” party. Chef Li Cheng-li has crafted a fun and delicious animal-themed Halloween set menu. Guests who check in at the party and post photos will receive a Halloween gift from Cubbish. One lucky winner will also receive a special Halloween surprise pack from “Cubbish Zoo.”

Yangmingshan Tianlai Resort Hotel

Yangmingshan Tianlai Resort Hotel is also getting into the Halloween spirit with its “Spooky Dishes.” Classic Italian cuisine is transformed into terrifying organ-themed meals—you might accidentally eat a finger. The newly launched Blue Magpie Lounge Bar also offers blood-red cocktails that are sure to surprise. Pastry chefs have gotten creative, replacing scary elements with cute and playful designs, incorporating Halloween motifs into desserts. The “Dark Graveyard Series” features chocolate cake bases with rich, sweet flavors in every bite. The “Screaming Pastry Corner” also offers takeaway pastries. From October 25 to 31, elf muffins (4 pcs) are priced at NT$100, and pumpkin cakes (4 pcs) at NT$250—perfect for celebrating at home and soaking in the Western holiday vibes.

Cloudy Bay Hot Spring Resort

Located in Sun Moon Lake, Cloudy Bay Hot Spring Resort has scheduled three “flash mob” dance performances featuring a parade of mischievous monsters on Halloween, October 31, inviting guests to join the fun. In addition to the evening show at 7 PM in the main lobby, around 20 monsters will take to the streets at 2 PM and 6 PM, performing lively dances and interacting closely with visitors at the Shuishe Pier. Everyone is welcome to shout “Trick or Treat!” at the monsters.

Additionally, the “Ghost King – Edward Loves Strawberries” game invites guests staying at Cloudy Bay to follow clues from the witch to find 12 ghosts, collect five stamps from them, and advance to the final round to interact with the Ghost King – Edward. Upon receiving the “Blood Fang Mark,” guests can claim a Halloween commemorative bracelet and officially join the vampire family.

The meat section at Dantong Western Restaurant launches the “Bloody Butcher Market.” Hanging overhead are dismembered hands and feet, while chefs dressed in blood-stained doctor coats “attentively serve” guests carrying trays. The dim lighting creates an eerie, haunting atmosphere that sends chills down your spine. The hot food section features Halloween-inspired dishes like caterpillar salad, bug-baked eggs, and witch’s hair. The dessert area also includes creepy treats like eyeball mousse cups, bone coffins, and bloodied finger cookies.

Kaohsiung Regent Hotel
Kaohsiung Regent’s new buffet restaurant, MARKET CAFÉ, offers free meals for children under 12 dressed in spooky costumes, themed outfits, or Halloween-related accessories during dinner from October 26 to 31. Kids who shout “Trick or treat!” will also receive a limited-edition cute puzzle and sticker set—adorable enough to delight any child. Beyond the fun promotions, the restaurant’s entrance features playful decorations that add to the festive surprise, letting diners experience the playful charm of Halloween.

From 2 PM to 10 PM on October 31, the hotel hosts the “Go Wild & Get Spooky” Halloween special event. It kicks off with the “Silly Face Photo Challenge,” where guests can take hilarious triple selfies. Next is the “Pumpkin Lantern DIY” session for crafting personalized lanterns, followed by the “Pumpkin Sister Storytime.” The highlight is the “Halloween Prank Squad,” where both kids and adults dress up and go trick-or-treating around the hotel.
