New Taipei City’s Happy Christmas Town – The Cake-Skirt-Shaped Christmas Tree Makes Its First Appearance

What a beautiful Christmas tree！The New Taipei City Happy Christmas Town event is entering its third year this year, and the highly anticipated design sketch of the Christmas tree has been unveiled for the first time. This year, a special two-tiered LED screen has been designed at the base of the tree, resembling a cake skirt. Some people have also said it looks like an exquisite gift. The city government’s Tourism and Travel Bureau stated that the lighting ceremony will take place on November 22, officially marking the start of the Christmas Town event.

The Tourism and Travel Bureau stated that this year’s Christmas tree will once again be the tallest in the country, and thanks to the creative design at its base, it will have a particularly strong sense of three-dimensionality and layering. It also integrates art, music, and technology. With the backdrop of colorful LED lights and a beautiful melody, the visual and audio effects are sure to be stunning. After the lighting ceremony on the 22nd, the Christmas Town event will run until January 15 of next year.

Over the past two years, the New Taipei Christmas Town event has attracted large crowds of visitors. The Tourism and Travel Bureau pointed out, “This Christmas, we aim to turn the entire Xinzhuang Special Zone into a massive celebration hub, bringing happiness and joy to everyone.” The bureau also mentioned that to maintain an air of mystery, the initially revealed Christmas tree sketch only shows the general direction. The final confirmed version will be unveiled at a later date—so stay tuned.
