World Surf League ASP Makes Its Taiwan Debut for the First Time—One-Day Autumn Trip to Taitung for Just NT$699

The world-class surfing competition, the ASP, will make its Taiwan debut from November 15 to 17 for the first time ever.The World Tour, organized by the world’s largest professional surfing organization, ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals), is regarded as the highest stage for all surfers around the globe. This is the first time the event will be held in Taiwan, and Taitung’s Jinzun has become the global 21st stop for the men’s shortboard surfing competition.

At the same time, from November 13 to 17, the Taiwan International Surfing Open will also take place. In addition to the exciting ASP competitions being held in Taiwan for the first time during the last three days, visitors can also experience different water activities through on-site land surfing or stand-up paddleboarding.Each day from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the event site will feature a surfing exhibition area and a fun, food-filled surfing market, where visitors can sample or purchase local swordfish specialties. Huang Kien-tang, Magistrate of Taitung County Government and the organizer of the event, said, “We hope to leverage this top-tier competition to promote the surfing trend and let the world see Taitung’s beautiful surf spots.”

In addition, as autumn arrives, Taitung County Government has launched the “Autumn Double B Tour of Taitung” program, priced at just NT$699 per person, with a minimum of 10 participants. There are two regular departures on weekdays and three on holidays.The “Double B” refers to Bike + Bus. This initiative promotes low-carbon cycling (“iron horse” rides) while also supporting energy-saving and carbon-reduction goals through the development of a green transportation system. It combines buses with cycling routes to create a linked tour experience that also features surrounding regional elements such as ecology, slow living, wellness, and natural charm. Visitors can explore Taitung’s signature bike paths and other eastern pearl-like highlights.
