Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade: Spider-Man and Turkey Appear on NYC Streets

The much-anticipatedMacy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade(Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade) will kick off on November 28 this year. This 87-year-old event has become one of the two quintessential Thanksgiving traditions in the U.S., alongside the traditional turkey feast, helping to build up the festive mood. In addition to perennial balloon favorites like Mickey Mouse, Hello Kitty, Spider-Man, Buzz Lightyear, and Santa Claus… this year also introduces new characters including Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon, and characters from The Wizard of Oz and Adventure Time like Po and Pops… Additionally, there will be 1,200 dancers, 900 clowns, and 10 marching bands, with the total parade participants expected to reach 9,000, promising to bring the whole of New York to life.

The Macy’s Parade attracts at least 3.5 million people every year.
