This winter in Taipei has felt particularly harsh, and to support seasonal wellness, Grand Hyatt Taipei has arranged three “Winter Nourishing Hot Pots” in its Beautiful Hall. These dishes have been carefully simmered by Chef Jian Hongwen, who boasts over 40 years of culinary experience. The menu includes “Kale Clam & Chicken Hot Pot,” “Black Chicken in Sesame Oil for Health,” and “Deer Antler Fire Pot.” The chef explains that these dishes are crafted to deliver both warmth and flavor, using premium ingredients that are both nutritious and delicious. The set meals come at an affordable price range of NT$1,100 to NT$1,800, making them a great choice for nourishing beauty and health this winter.
Yan Huiyuan, the new Public Relations Director of Grand Hyatt Taipei, stated today (Dec 6) that as winter officially arrives, it's the perfect time to gather with friends and family for a cozy hot pot meal. From today until January 31, 2014, Beautiful Hall is offering three seasonal and exquisitely prepared “Winter Nourishing Hot Pots” at reasonable prices, ideal for year-end gatherings with family, friends, or a casual dinner with loved ones.

Among the three hot pots, the refreshing and nourishing “Kale Clam & Chicken Hot Pot” is priced at NT$1,100. The chef specially selects free-range chickens farmed in Taitung, known for their springy texture, and combines them with sweet and crisp kale, along with premium clams and scallops to enhance the flavor. After nearly three hours of slow simmering, this iconic hot pot bursts with festivity and rich aroma.
The chef’s recommended choice is the “Black Chicken in Sesame Oil for Health,” priced at NT$1,400. The chef uses pungent, winter-exclusive bamboo ginger and cold-pressed sesame oil brewed in-house in Changhua. After stir-frying with rice wine to release the fragrance, black-bone chicken is added along with Chinese angelica, red dates, and goji berries. The mixture is then placed in a heated clay pot, allowing the pot’s heat to cook the ingredients thoroughly. The chicken turns tender and flavorful, with an inviting aroma that makes it the perfect winter indulgence.
The top choice for nourishment is the “Deer Antler Fire Pot,” priced at NT$1,800. This dish features deer antler slices cooked with premium chicken and other rare herbs. The rich and savory broth is deeply satisfying, and the addition of special seasonings creates a uniquely aromatic taste. It's a premium option for those seeking deep nourishment and warmth during the cold season.
Grand Hyatt Taipei notes that the prices of the three nourishing hot pots include a 10% service charge. For more details or to make a reservation, please contact Grand Hyatt Taipei’s catering service or visit www.grandhyatttaipei.com.tw.
