Laser-lit yellow duck wears Christmas hat – Keelung’s Rubber Duck gets festive

The yellow duck is getting into the Christmas spirit too. At the Yongheng Cultural and Creative Park in Keelung, the rubber duck landscape made from 100,000 windmills has been given a bright red Santa hat to mark the upcoming holiday season. Nearby, blue-purple Christmas trees and a large gift-themed installation art piece have also been set up. When lit up at night along with laser light projections, the display not only radiates strong Christmas vibes but also makes the duck look vibrant and colorful. Starting December 21, the park’s opening hours will be extended until 7 p.m.

To help the yellow duck celebrate Christmas as well, the cultural park recently added another 20,000 windmills to “dress” the duck in a Christmas hat and set up a large Christmas tree. At night, in addition to lighting up the tree, laser projections of Christmas-related patterns and words such as reindeer and “Merry X’mas” create a fully festive atmosphere.

Organizers stated that after the Keelung yellow duck exhibition opened on December 21, the “windmill duck” display period has been extended until February 5 of next year. The park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and hosts a daily fair where visitors can enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment. A free shuttle bus is also available every day to transport guests from downtown Keelung to the venue to see the duck.
