Swords Lake New Year's Eve Countdown: 610-Second "Perfect Ten" Fireworks Show with the Sky Coaster Joining In

As the end of the year quietly approaches, there are less than 20 days left until 2014.Swords Lake Amusement World, which ranks first in this year’s “Longest New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show in Taiwan,” not only features its signature Ferris wheel fireworks display, but the towering ride “Sky Coaster” standing nearby has also joined the countdown fireworks this year. Breaking previous records, the ultra-luxurious 610-second New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacular will burst into the night sky in the most dazzling fashion as the clock strikes midnight ushering in 2014.

Swords Lake World released a simulated video of its New Year’s Eve fireworks show yesterday (the 16th). It begins with sparkling lights spreading upward from the end of the Ferris wheel, followed by a sudden burst of colorful fireworks shooting into the sky. Drawing inspiration from the 2014 homophone “love you for a lifetime,” the words “2014 I love U” decorated with colorful lights twinkle in the middle of the Ferris wheel.

The entire fireworks show lasts 10 minutes and 10 seconds, symbolizing “perfection in every way.” The fireworks are not limited to high-altitude launches; synchronized with music, ground-based displays in the shape of bouquets and hearts are also arranged on both sides of the Ferris wheel. As the show reaches its climax, the nearby Sky Coaster also joins in the spectacle, creating a breathtaking scene like “heavenly thunder meeting earthly fire.”
