North American Pavilion Turns 30 – Free Entry on the 22nd, Watch Performances and Get Free Coffee

Since its opening in December 1983, the Taipei Fine Arts Museum will celebrate its 30th anniversary on the 22nd of December, with total cumulative visitors reaching nearly 17 million. Starting at 2:00 PM on the 22nd, a grand anniversary celebration titled “30 with You, 30 Standing Strong” will be held in the main hall, inviting all those who have been part of the museum’s 30-year journey to join in the birthday celebration.

In addition to free entry for the entire museum on the 22nd, starting at 2:00 PM in the main hall, visitors can sing “Happy Birthday,” and a short film titled “TFAM COLORS” will be screened. The visual concept is inspired by the old photo search campaign “16,847,987+ The Museum Is Looking for You” and footage from the colorful post-it note message campaign.

From 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the Taipei Symphony Orchestra’s affiliated ensemble will perform a Suite of the Times, while the outdoor plaza will offer free hot coffee provided by CITY CAFÉ, served with coffee art cup sleeves designed based on works from the museum’s collection. Supplies are limited and will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
