Falling in love with Kaohsiung all over again！ The heart-shaped swan installation takes Formosa Boulevard Station to the next level of romance

The Formosa Boulevard Station of the Kaohsiung MRT — once ranked among the most beautiful train stations in the world — has just gotten even more romantic. The Kaohsiung City Government has specially installed a number of large-scale green sculptures and plant art pieces such as the “Heart-Shaped Swan” and “Hearts in Harmony,” making an already stunning station even more picturesque. Even the MRT exits are beautifully designed, exuding endless romance.

Art installations can be found at both Exit 2 and Exit 4. Among them, the “Heart-Shaped Swan” at Exit 4 is a three-dimensional green sculpture. Not only do the two swans appear to be kissing, creating a romantic atmosphere, but their beaks and necks also form the shape of a heart. Many couples stand in front of the swan and make matching heart gestures with their hands, sharing the romantic moment together.

The “Hearts in Harmony” installation at Exit 2 is made up of two differently sized hearts. The larger heart even features the Chinese character “高” (Gaoshoung), representing the city of Kaohsiung. The government has also launched a special event called “Love Locks in Kaohsiung, Love You 99.” Couples who take photos here and upload them have a chance to win free tickets for a solar-powered love boat ride on the Love River.

In addition to the “Heart-Shaped Swan” and “Hearts in Harmony,” there are also art installations such as “Gift” and “Ode to Joy.”
