The Grand Mayfull Hotel teams up with Edge Works to host a Christmas Carnival, featuring nearly 30 booths

Following the “Colorful Gathering Market” held on October 1, the Grand Mayfull Hotel in Taipei will host the “Mayfull Christmas Carnival – Edge People’s Market” on December 23, in collaboration with the experienced “Edge Works.” The event will run from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the plaza behind the hotel, featuring nearly 30 booths with numerous handmade goods and fashion accessories to discover. Meanwhile, Banqiao’s Big City Department Store is going “European” from December 14 to 25, joining forces with the German Economic Office to present the “German Christmas Market.”

Customers dining at the “Colorful Buffet Restaurant” on December 23 will receive a NT$50 discount coupon for the Edge People’s Market per table. The Mayfull Hotel will also set up its own booth, selling various Christmas pastries, hot cocoa, and mulled wine among other cozy drinks—perfect for a fun, delicious, and enjoyable experience.

From December 14 to 25, Banqiao’s Big City Department Store, in partnership with the German Economic Office, will host the “German Christmas Market.” In addition to offering authentic German beer, white wine, and specialty products like blackcurrant treats, the market will also feature many traditional German cultural and creative items, aiming to deliver an authentically European Christmas experience. Visitors can also sample MILKA, the top-rated German chocolate with over a century of history and Europe’s most popular chocolate brand. Made with milk sourced from the Alpine region, MILKA chocolates melt in your mouth with a rich blend of cocoa aroma and creamy milk flavor.

Beyond the markets, Banqiao Big City Department Store’s B1 Oasis Plaza will also feature the “2017 Taiwan Night Market Food Culture Festival” from December 15 (Friday) to December 24 (Sunday), spanning 10 days. The event will gather delicacies such as tempura from Keelung Night Market, bubble tea ice from Shilin Night Market, as well as grilled skewers and fried snacks, royal-style dragon beard candy, and cultural and creative goods from the Twelve Baskets theme market. There will also be a play area and claw games for children—hoping to satisfy everyone’s craving for a vibrant and diverse night market food experience.

For example, the popular Keelung Night Market dish “Xinyi Tempura” is a third-generation family recipe that still adheres to traditional handmade methods. Their highly recommended “Large Round Tempura” is golden and crispy, fried to perfection—it’s the quintessential taste of Taiwanese tempura. The ever-popular Shilin Night Market “Eli Bubble Ice” will also be available at the Taiwan Night Market Food Culture Festival.
