Seriously, the internet-voted No. 1 delicious champion fried rice in all of Taiwan is this plate of seemingly simple yet mysteriously amazing Minsheng Fried Rice Specialty Shop’s offering!!
In order to quickly keep up with the trends of the food scene, without hesitation, I immediately sacrificed my leisure time, laziness, and sleep time to complete this important mission (*´艸`*)
I really hope this champion fried rice won’t let me down!!

The champion fried rice voted as the best in Taiwan by a famous food website
Let’s take a look at the sacred ranking first!!
Number one is none other than the [Minsheng Fried Rice Specialty Shop] we’re introducing today—no cap!!
If I say I hope to eat all ten of the egg fried rices on the list soon, would that be too crazy?
But regarding the features of “no MSG added, cooked fresh to order, and adjusted to suit the taste preferences of different customer groups,”
I’m kinda curious—isn’t everyone else’s fried rice just sitting there cold and not cooked fresh to order? XD ((I don’t believe it OTZ

The day before Meter actually got to eat the champion fried rice, we couldn’t get any fried rice, only a closed door :[
We arrived a little after five, and we couldn’t even get a number ticket—isn’t that a bit too extreme?
That crowd was just the leftover heat from people who had already gotten their number tickets and were waiting for the wok to start cooking.
I secretly asked the pilgrims how they managed to get number five—and tomorrow we’ll follow their strategy!! Let’s see what happens!!!
And the congratulatory slogan next to it, ‘King of National Fried Rice, Light of Minsheng Community,’ is a bit over the top—I hope it’s really that moving.

I finished work at the super delicious Niuge Beef Noodles (Neihu Branch) in the alley off Dunhua North Road around 3 p.m., and then rushed straight to the Minsheng Fried Rice Specialty Shop,
I refuse to believe anyone could have gotten here earlier than us!!!!!!!!
With the strategy in hand, I really did feel different—my walk had swagger XD
When we arrived at the Minsheng Fried Rice Specialty Shop stall, there was absolutely no one else there—not a single person!!
At first, I thought they were closed for the day, but it turned out our craving was so strong that we actually got the first spot to eat the champion fried rice today!!!!
Then a few early birds started showing up sporadically—they all looked pretty pro and friendly,
everyone sat around chatting, waiting for the moment when the number tickets would be handed out.

Looking at the menu on the signboard, it doesn’t seem like they only specialize in fried rice!!
They also have rice noodles, vermicelli, stir-fried dishes, and even quite a few side dishes. The variety of options is really eye-catching—do people come here just for the sides too?

The Minsheng Fried Rice Specialty Shop’s small sign highlighting “No MSG added” has made its debut—looks like the specialty isn’t just talk.
But now, to get the champion fried rice, you can’t just rely on phone reservations—you also have to line up early in person.
It’s a pity the drink cabinet nearby is locked—if they switched to a coin-operated system, business might be even better, because the queue is really long, it’s exhausting, and chatting makes your mouth so dry Orz
[Time for collecting numbered tickets]
Lunch: Numbered tickets issued at 10:30 AM, with a total of 25 groups available
Dinner: Numbered tickets issued at 4:30 PM, with a total of 30 groups available

A tiny space of just a few square meters, with two large square tables — the old, simple stall really isn’t very eye-catching.
It’s hard to imagine this is where Taiwan’s champion fried rice is made at the Minsheng Fried Rice Specialty Shop!!!!!!!

If you can’t find where the Minsheng Fried Rice Specialty Shop is, just walk along Section 4 toward Section 5, and look out for a line on your left — that’s where the champion fried rice is.
Even if their sign isn’t very noticeable, you’d be hard-pressed not to notice the long queue.

From having absolutely no one in line, to the arrival of the professional early birds,
The closer it gets to dinner time, the more pilgrims show up — the line really goes all the way onto the road.
The shop owner said even the police were about to give them a ticket :[
Pilgrims, remember to stay safe and don’t block the roadway or compromise your own rights.

Around five o’clock, the owners finally take their positions, and the long-awaited moment of numbered ticket distribution finally arrives!!!!!!!!!!
After getting your ticket, don’t rush off — make sure the type of fried rice you want is available before you leave, or you might end up embarrassed for not getting any.
Having a ticket doesn’t guarantee you’ll get fried rice — the staff will take everyone’s orders one by one, clearly writing down whether it’s for takeaway or dine-in,
There’s no limit on how many portions one person can buy, but let’s all show some community spirit and not go overboard XD
But after waiting so long, it would be a shame not to buy a few boxes to take home for family.
So the food sells out quickly, and starting with number 31 that day, people could only smell the aroma.
One thing that surprised me was how seriously the shop takes orders, recording customer preferences and recommending flavors and cooking methods,
And making sure there are enough ingredients so customers don’t wait in vain,
They also personally apologize to those who won’t get their fried rice,
And let you know what time would be best to come back for your number, so you don’t waste time waiting onsite.
It’s really impressive that a small shop of just three people manages to do all this.

So happy!!!!!!! I actually got number one!!!!!!!
An elderly lady living nearby also came as pilgrim number 3,
She also recommended a great queue-worthy soy milk shop near Longshan Temple in Wanhua run by a family named Meter,
Looks like another mission is calling Orz

It’s five o’clock in the afternoon, and the stoves at the Minsheng Fried Rice Specialty Shop are fired up,
In the small kitchen, the three people are bustling non-stop, and the air is filled with an incredibly familiar and appetizing fried rice aroma.

%丁∶裆?捶棺?舻昀习寤铺┥昙br /> I specifically asked the boss if we could take photos, and not only is his fried rice delicious, he’s also very generous in letting customers photograph him cooking.

Today’s first order of fried rice is Mi Te’s beef fried rice, but it’s not cooked one by one — the boss will cook several portions at once depending on the order volume.

Just a full pot of plain white rice, add sugar, salt, soy sauce, and other seasonings, then stir-fry quickly by an experienced professional chef—and there you have it, the beautiful golden color of egg fried rice is born!

Yay, the first plate of fried rice of the day is out!!!!! Everyone’s envious expressions are all on full display XDDD ((I’m so mean

This plate of fried rice really didn’t come easily!!!! I waited a full two hours for it!!!!!
I thought a street food stall like this would just serve food on disposable plastic plates, but they actually used such cute plates that made the fried rice look even more delicious.
The portion size is about the same as other fried rice sold outside, but the moment it was served, a wave of satisfying aroma hit you all at once,
The color of the fried rice is quite eye-catching, giving off a warm feeling like golden sunlight spilled over the sidewalk, and you can’t even tell where the egg ends and the rice begins.
Although it’s just a simple combination of greens, beef slices, egg, and white rice, it’s that kind of simple, happy flavor ♥

The soul of fried rice, besides the god-tier fast stir-frying technique, lies in the texture of the rice itself,
The rice may look clumped together, but each grain is actually separate, coated in a richly flavored sauce, and so satisfying to chew!
The only downside is that the boss might have gone a bit heavy-handed today—I’m a bit thirsty Orz

My first plate of top-ranked fried rice was way too tempting—so many people were fighting to take photos of it, and one auntie even insisted I take a photo with her holding the fried rice XD

%丁⊥獯?br /> Besides eating one plate of beef fried rice on-site, we also took a few portions home for our family.
Actually, it’s quite recommended to order one portion to eat here first, and take the rest to go—this way you can somewhat tame your long-waiting stomach while waiting XD

Our family’s elder ordered this to take home for the family, so I didn’t get to try it Orz

Now it’s my turn to take fried rice home to show my filial piety,
And the best part is, the fried rice we took home actually tasted even better than the one eaten on-site—the rice had less of the saucy dampness and more of a refreshing texture!
I really didn’t want to order salted fish fried rice, but when I heard the shop owner highly recommend it while others were ordering, I was instantly hooked OTZ
Luckily I fell for the salted fish trap—it even impressed my dad, who has a super picky palate, so that means it’s really good.
Although you can barely see the salted fish in the fried rice, just dig in—you’ll find the aroma of the salted fish pairs perfectly with the golden egg fried rice; just a little bit elevates the whole dish, making the salted fish stand out big time in my mind XD

Since my mom loves rice noodles, I ordered a mixed rice noodle dish planning to play the good kid back home, but the boss said shredded pork rice noodles taste better—they bring out the sweetness and make the noodles shine even more,
So of course I switched to shredded pork rice noodles without hesitation!
The toppings looked even more generous than the fried rice, very satisfying visually. Although the aroma wasn’t as overwhelming as the champion fried rice, it felt very genuine.
The rice noodles had the perfect moisture level—not too dry like many street vendors’ versions, nor too wet. The sweetness of the shredded pork and cabbage was evenly infused into the noodles. It was the first time I’d had rice noodles this impressive!
My mom said it was delicious too!!!!! ((You know food critics rarely give praise XD

It was briefly mentioned earlier, so I won’t go into detail again.

Actually, even before being voted the No. 1 egg fried rice in the country, Minsheng Fried Rice Specialty was already a well-known food stall.
Back then, you just had to wait quite a while or queue up briefly,
but it hadn’t yet reached the point where you needed to line up early to get a number, only to possibly not even get any fried rice despite having one.
It’s probably because of all the recent media hype that has reignited Taiwanese people’s adventurous spirit for queuing up to try new trends, XD.
In the past, you could still call ahead to reserve your portion and pick it up later, but I secretly asked the boss lady on everyone’s behalf.
She said that it’s probably not possible for the next few weeks, so you guys might as well wait until the hype dies down before calling.

The thing most people are curious about is — is this so-called champion fried rice really that good?
The taste of Minsheng Fried Rice is indeed pretty good — both in flavor and in the chewiness of the rice itself. You have to try it to understand what “Q-bottomed, bottom-Q” means.
It’s about 30% tastier than your average street-side fried rice, so it’s no wonder the price is 10 to 20 NT dollars more expensive.
But whether it’s worth lining up for two hours every time just for this one plate of fried rice, and possibly not even getting any — that depends on the individual.
If the hygiene could be a bit better, there were more seats, and they had more staff, that would be even better.

Although Minsheng Fried Rice Specialty only sells fried rice, their rice noodles are also excellent. If you manage to get a number, remember to also try their shredded pork rice noodles.
But to be completely honest, no matter how specialized, delicious, or popular the fried rice at Minsheng Fried Rice Specialty is, it’s still my second favorite.
The first place will always be my mom’s fried rice — you can add whatever you want, you never have to queue, and it’s always free, XD ((gets kicked))

Finally finished writing this fried rice article. Even though I’m a bit late, I’ve improved a lot.
But why did I, who’ve been slacking off and not writing my own articles for so long, and who usually doesn’t follow trends, suddenly decide to write about the nationally ranked Minsheng Fried Rice Specialty?
Of course, there’s always a reason — it’s all because of my big guy who doesn’t even like queuing but came along to queue for love.
And it was him who told me about this amazing fried rice. No matter what I said, he insisted on dragging me here to queue. Thank you ♥
Before even tasting the melt-in-your-mouth Minsheng champion fried rice, my heart had already melted, and then the audience’s eyes melted too XDDDD ((is this too cheesy!!!?))
