Notes on Visiting Yuan Zai: No Flash, No Tapping, and... No "Yuan Zai Soup"

January 6th is the first public appearance day of Yuan Zai. Not only are the public highly anticipating it, but Taipei’s Muzha Zoo has also set up an emergency response team to prepare for any situation that may arise when Yuan Zai opens to visitors.

Since Yuan Zai is currently just a six-month-old baby, he still needs long hours of sleep every day. Therefore, Muzha Zoo specifically reminds visitors that when viewing Yuan Zai,the use of flash photography is strictly prohibited, as is tapping on the glass to startle him..

After the opening, visitors will need to collecta “Giant Panda Pavilion Entry Ticket”upon entering the zoo in order to visit, and must enter according to their designated entry time.The pavilion admits 400 people per minute, with a maximum of 19,200 visitors per day. Group visits require advance application at least three days prior.
