During the first weekend after the "resurrection" of the yellow duck in Keelung, nearly 200,000 visitors were attracted in a single day. However, apart from vendors directly facing the duck, whose businesses were relatively good, the rest had dismal sales. Some private businesses plan to create an 18-meter-tall "Happy Duck" to draw crowds. In response, exhibition organizer Huang Jing-tai stated that after contacting the original creator Hofmann, the latter expressed strong dissatisfaction and said that if the vendors insist on setting up another duck, he would consider withdrawing the exhibition.

Huang Jing-tai pointed out that vendors in the duck exhibition area intend to make another giant yellow duck to attract crowds. To protect the rights of the original creator Hofmann, the exhibition team not only urgently contacted the Port of Keelung Corporation to demand the cessation of the vendors' infringing behavior but will also send a lawyer's letter to the Port of Keelung Corporation and the business invitation units on the 6th, advocating respect for Hofmann's creative rights.

The exhibition team stated that they contacted Hofmann on the afternoon of the 5th. Hofmann was very firm about protecting his own rights and said that if vendors insist on making another giant duck in the exhibition area, he would consider ending the Keelung duck exhibition ahead of schedule.

After the duck's "rebirth" on the 3rd, during the first weekend holiday with excellent weather conditions, the organizers reported that over 200,000 visitors were attracted in a single day, and the total since the opening has exceeded 1.5 million. To prevent the duck from inflating too much and "exploding" again, it is currently only inflated to 80% capacity, and the duck’s rear is also continuously vented to release pressure. Because it isn’t fully inflated, many visitors say, “The duck’s face is all wrinkled—it’s almost turning into a grandma duck!”
