Limited release!Fried sweet glutinous rice balls to-go from a five-star hotel

Each year, after savoring the warm and round sweet glutinous rice balls that symbolize reunion, it marks the official start of a fulfilling new year. Amidst the festivities of lantern carrying and riddle solving, these rice balls have become an essential seasonal treat. This year, the Sichuan Cuisine Restaurant at Taipei’s Ambassador Hotel has specially launched a takeout version of golden fried sweet glutinous rice balls in three festive flavors: sesame, peanut, and red bean cheese.

Available from 2/8 to 2/14, raw sweet glutinous rice balls are sold in boxes of 12 for NT$500, while freshly fried ones are sold in boxes of 12 for NT$550, each box containing four of each flavor—sesame, peanut, and red bean cheese. Individual fried sweet glutinous rice balls are sold for NT$50 each.
