The adorable koala, an iconic symbol of Australia, especially in Queensland, draws travelers from around the world who often fly directly into the Gold Coast or Cairns airports. The laid-back lifestyle here has become a dream destination for global tourists. According to statistics, in September 2013, Queensland welcomed a total of 20 million visitors from around the world, who spent approximately 18 billion Australian dollars during their travels.

The Queensland Tourism Board stated that the most popular destinations are the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Cairns, and the Whitsunday Islands. These areas are beloved by Asian tourists for their beautiful natural beaches, diverse theme parks, and shopping paradises. The Queensland Tourism Board also mentioned that their future goal is toachieve 30 billion Australian dollars in local tourism spending by 2020.
