2014 Airline Recruitment Battle: Apply Now to Chase Your Sky-High Dream

China Airlines recently announced its 2014 cabin crew recruitment exam on its official website, with applications expected to open from late May to early June.
As the market evolves, this year airlines such as Singapore Airlines, ANA, and newly established V Air have already begun recruiting new cabin crew members in Taiwan. ANA’s application period ended from March 1–3, while Singapore Airlines held its selection interviews on March 21 and 22 after closing applications on March 3. Meanwhile, local low-cost carrier V Air stopped taking applications on March 14. Job seekers interested in becoming flight attendants should act quickly to apply.

ANA:

Application period: Ended March 3
Related info: Recruitment focuses on whether candidates fit the corporate image; TOEIC scores must be 650 or above. Monthly salary including allowances starts from around NT$60,000–70,000.

Singapore Airlines:

Application period: Ended March 3, selection on March 21 and 22
Related info: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, be fluent in both Chinese and English, and be willing to live in Singapore. Around 30–50 positions are available. Estimated monthly base salary plus allowances total about 3,500 SGD, equivalent to roughly NT$80,500.

V Air:

Application period: February 24 – March 14
Related info: Graduates from domestic or international colleges/universities recognized by the Ministry of Education, with unaided visual acuity of 0.1 or better in both eyes, and proficiency in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English. Bonus points for Korean, Japanese, or other third-language skills, familiarity with Chinese dialects, or prior flight attendant experience.

China Airlines:

Related info: Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher recognized by the Ministry of Education (foreign diplomas must be certified by an overseas institution and include transcripts), and have a TOEIC score of 550 or above or equivalent English test results.
