As winter fades and spring arrives, though Taiwan still carries a chill, the entire island is gradually filling with the scent of spring. The cherry blossom season is just the prelude to spring. If you want to take in the majestic view of rolling green mountains and the natural beauty of blooming flowers, then the “Spring Feast” launched by National Taiwan University’s Meifeng Farm on the 15th is the perfect place for a spring outing.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, National Taiwan University’s Meifeng Farm, located in the mountainous region of Nantou County, is the main site of the university’s Mountain Experimental Farm. Situated at an altitude of 2,100 meters, the farm experiences distinct seasons. Thanks to its prime location, this farm, blessed with natural forests and ecological resources, is home to hundreds of species of flowers and plants, and offers views of misty mountain ranges.

The “Spring Feast,” which has been held for 12 consecutive years, begins on the 15th as scheduled. National Taiwan University’s Meifeng Farm says the “Taiwan Pleione Area,” showcasing the farm’s exclusive variety found nowhere else in the world, the temperate flower area featuring tulips and ranunculus, and the “Peach Blossom Corridor” composed of over 30 varieties of peach blossoms are all must-sees, bursting with vitality everywhere.

The “Spring Feast” runs for 16 days from the 15th to the 30th. The farm is divided into five major zones, with guides stationed at fixed points to provide commentary. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Cuifeng Branch (17.5 km on Provincial Highway 14A) before entering the park. Since Meifeng Farm only opens to ticketed visitors during this period each year, and requires reservations for eco-experience camps at other times, if you’ve already enjoyed the beauty of cherry blossoms, consider coming here to experience the vibrant fun of spring with flowers in full bloom.
