Soaked in the rain: Paper pandas get "hyaluronic acid" beauty treatment & will move to National Theater & Concert Hall on the 14th

After days of continuous rainy weather, 1,600 paper pandas exhibited in front of Taipei City Hall have also started to look worn. The exhibition organizers stated that due to internal moisture affecting the paper pandas, they specially injected a form of "hyaluronic acid" made from glue mixed with putty to repair their faces and bodies. The 9th marks the last day of the paper panda exhibition at Taipei City Hall, and starting March 14th, they will be moved to the Civic Plaza of the National Theater & Concert Hall.

The exhibition organizers explained that since the inside of the paper pandas is made of recycled paper, and with Taipei experiencing rain almost daily recently, the pandas became damp inside. A dedicated team works on "beautifying" the pandas every day—first drying them, then using sandpaper to smooth out the damaged areas, and finally filling the wounds with the "hyaluronic acid of the panda world" and waterproof paint to restore their cute appearance.

After the Asian premiere of the "1600 Pandas World Tour" at Taipei City Hall ends, from the 14th to the 30th, the pandas will be exhibited daily from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Civic Plaza of the National Theater & Concert Hall. In addition to the paper pandas, 200 paper Formosan black bears will also be added, allowing the public to enjoy the adorable sight of the "twin bears" all at once.
