While the Tourism Bureau’s “Taiwan Oh Bear” is busy making friends with other mascots and promoting Taiwan, A-Rui is also keeping busy. Starting from the 11th, through the LINE sticker set “Bear Loves Taipei – A-Rui & Black Bear” launched by the Taipei City Government’s Department of Information and Tourism, A-Rui will temporarily escape from the zoo along with the black bear, transforming into Taipei’s tourism ambassadors. They’ll roam the streets of Taipei and share their joys, sorrows, angers, and delights with everyone.

To further promote animal conservation awareness, and taking advantage of the high user base of messaging apps in Taiwan, the Taipei City Government has released eight “Bear Loves Taipei – A-Rui & Black Bear” sticker sets. In these stickers, the two “bears” temporarily leave the zoo, ride sightseeing elevators, cycle on YouBikes, watch fireworks together, and leave their footprints all over Taipei. With super cute actions like “Pat pat,” “I’m coming right away!” and “Cuddle my leg,” these stickers are both practical and fun, serving as therapeutic designs.

The Department of Information and Tourism stated that the main image displayed on the sticker download page shows a shy little A-Rui girl scratching her head and sticking out her tongue. Wearing a bib printed with the word “Taipei,” her adorable look melts everyone’s hearts. Among the stickers, two also feature the Taiwan black bear, such as the “Pat Pat, Don’t Cry” design, where the Taiwan black bear—wearing a white V-neck and facing the threat of extinction—bursts into tears. A-Rui holds the black bear’s hand and gently pats its head in empathy, making this a touching sticker with an animal conservation message.

The “Bear Loves Taipei” stickers are available for free download from March 11 to April 10, with a six-month usage period (valid for 180 days).
